Chop A Line Beagles
My name is Ian Hannis. My wife Dana and I live in New Ringgold, Pa with our 2 young children.
We currently own AKC Registered beagles. We are generally traveling the east coast of the country heading off to a trial on the weekends to compete with our hounds.
Beagles have been a part of my family since I was born. My grandfather Richard Zettlemoyer turned me on to hunting hounds as a very young kid. He trained and hunted hounds for over 55 years. His kennel Chop A Line Beagles was where I got my start. Every hound I own has one way or another gone back to some of the best hounds in the country that he has owned. I can trace them back 8 generations. He was involved in field trialing since he was a young man and has been very very successfull. He passed away in 2016 and we plan to keep his legacy alive.
You can find me in the woods at least 2 to 3 hours each day either training hounds or hunting with hounds. I am an avid rabbit and deer hunter. I especially enjoy the big woods of northern Pa to run some big bunnies and getting a big pack of driving hounds to pursue.
My Wife and I strive to better the breed of hounds both for great confirmation and looks and of course running and tracking ability.
